Screen spotlight: What’s on in Preston cinemas 21 to 27 November

The Christmas season is finally here, and cinemas across Preston are celebrating with a host of holiday films for all audiences. But before you book tickets to the classics, there is a major new release out this week.

Wicked: For Good is the sequel to 2024’s Wicked, adapting the popular stage show. It features Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande as Elphaba and Glinda, and absolutely stunning visuals that make this a must-watch for all cinema fans.

So, without further ado, this is all of the unique listings playing between Friday, the 21st, and Thursday, the 27th  of November.

The Thing With Feathers

All of the local theatres will host special event screenings of the Royal Ballet and Opera’s Cinderella this coming week. A classic fairytale adapted into a beautiful and enchanting performance by spectacular athletes.

Superman

The Odeon is bringing Superman back for their Silver Cinema showing this week. The 2025 movie starring David Corenswet and directed by James Gunn kicked off the DCU, and rekindled some of the hope that was first captured in the 1980s Superman movies starring Christopher Reeve.
