Overflowing bins full of rotting dog poo bags on Lightfoot Lane are causing a stink for local residents.
In an email to Blog Preston a concerned resident, who asked not to be named, said it was happening all too often.
They said: “This (pictured) is the state of the public waste bin on Lightfoot Lane near the bus stop in front of the Fulwood Free Methodist Church.

“It’s littered with poo bags that have now burst open as well. Attempts to contact the council have proved futile and difficult. This is becoming a regular occurrence.”
Blog Preston reached out to Fiona Duke, the Preston City Councillor for the Greyfriars ward, about the problem.
The Liberal Democrat councillor said: “If the resident wants to contact me about it, I will happily escalate it with the relevant team at Preston City Council.
“I have [also] reported the dodgy streetlight that is on all the time right next to the bin. Lancashire County Council have assessed it and said they will fix it.”
