Two men in custody after string of robberies at shops across Preston and Chorley

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of a string of robberies across Preston and Chorley.

Preston Police had appealed to trace men pictured in CCTV after shops were targeted during three days of raids in mid-November.

A 19-year-old man and an 18-year-old man have both been arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody according to a police update during Friday 21 November.

The robberies began at Premier Stores in Avenham Lane around 7.30pm on Monday 10 November.

A second one took place at the Vanikas Store, Langton Road, close to Fishergate Hill, around 7.55pm on Wednesday 12 November.

Two robberies then occurred within a short time of one another around 7pm on Thursday 13 November at Go Local in Brindle Street, Chorley and a second one at the Convenience Store at Pall Mall also in Chorley.
