Clint Boon is returning to Chew’s Yard in Preston for a third DJ set following two earlier sold-out shows.
The Inspiral Carpets’ keyboard player, songwriter, DJ and broadcaster has become a firm favourite at the Market Street West venue, with his last appearance in April selling out in record time.
Boon will play a four-hour set of “the best records ever made”, spanning Indie, Manchester classics, Hip Hop, Northern Soul, Rave, Motown, Ska, Two Tone, and sounds from the 60s, 70s, 80s and beyond.

A DJ since the age of 15, Clint set up his first mobile disco business in 1975 and has been behind the decks ever since. He was the resident Saturday night DJ at Manchester’s South Nightclub for over 20 years, making it the longest-running weekly club residency in the city. He continues to DJ across the UK and internationally.
Alongside his DJ career, Clint has become a familiar voice on Manchester’s airwaves. Since 2004, he has worked as a radio presenter for several local and national stations including 96.2 The Revolution, XFM Manchester, Radio X, BBC Radio Manchester and XS Manchester.
As a founding member of Inspiral Carpets, Clint’s career has taken him around the world since 1985 and resulted in numerous hit singles and five critically acclaimed studio albums. The band are widely regarded as one of the definitive Madchester acts, alongside Happy Mondays, James and The Stone Roses. Notable performances include Preston’s Guild Hall in April 1991 and more recently at Lytham Festival in July 2024.
