The Belfast Magistrate’s Court in Mpumalanga has postponed a case of fraud against 43-year-old Zimbabwean national Edward Chitaizvi, who was allegedly found in possession of 582 passports from different countries last week.
The matter was postponed because of a power outage in the area.
It is reported that court operations have been disrupted since Tuesday, due to the power cut.
Chitaizvi, who was arrested near Waterval Boven, is facing charges of fraud, money laundering, and contravening the country’s Immigration Act.
His case has been postponed to Monday the 29th for a formal bail application.
