Superpet Warehouse in Ribbleton received a major award last month.
Presented the Pet Industry Federation Independent Pet Retailer of the Year, Superpet beat around 1,800 independent pet stores across the UK.
The family run business, opened in 1982, is currently run by Mark Holderness and wife Cheryl and was founded by Mark’s parents Dave and Sue Holderness.
Selling dog food to bird cages, the two founders and their son and daughter in law attended the event in Stoke on Trent.
Mark Holderness said: “We are absolutely thrilled to receive this award, It’s fantastic to receive recognition for all the hard work our team put in.
“We moved into our new store in January and we’ve been overwhelmed by the response of our customers.”
