A man was arrested after fleeing police and smashing his Audi into a roundabout.

Officers from Lancashire Constabulary, who are targeting potential drink drivers as part of Operation Limit in the build up to Christmas, flagged a black Audi to stop on Guild Way shortly before 11pm on Thursday evening (18 December).

The driver of the car did not stop, and instead crashed into the roundabout on Golden Way. When asked, he failed to provide a breath sample.
