More than 2,500 fundraising pages and causes were set up by people in the city this year.

Pascale Harvie, president and general manager of JustGiving, said: “This year, which saw us celebrate our 25th anniversary, has been nothing short of extraordinary for charitable giving.

“Despite ongoing financial pressures, people across the UK continue to dig deep for loved ones’ fundraisers and causes close to their hearts, with Preston showing particular generosity.

“We’ve seen countless examples of communities rallying together when it matters most – It’s a powerful reminder that generosity remains a defining part of who we are.”

Take part in the Big PNE Sleep Out and help to end female homelessness in the city. Returning in March 2026, we’ll be bedding down at Deepdale and funds help the Foxton and the Preston North End Community and Education Trust to do great work to help vulnerable women across the city. Get yourself registered and see more about the Big PNE Sleep Out. If you can’t make it, you can donate to the overall Justgiving page too and help us reach £100,000.

Nominate someone in the Proud Preston Awards. It should come as no surprise the city is a proud place and that’s why we’re backing the first ever Proud Preston Awards.
