The Derby Arms is running a Christmas Market, taking place from Wednesday (3 December) to Saturday (6 December).
Nestled in the picturesque Forest of Bowland, between Longridge and Chipping, the event promises a festive atmosphere and a variety of local stalls.
A selection of local businesses will be present, including Stable Yard who will be offering Christmas hampers and packages. Shed on the Fell specialises in pottery, plates and canvases, while other stalls will provide a range of gifts, baubles, and trinket decorations. The stalls will be open each evening from 4pm to 9pm giving visitors plenty of time to browse and shop for unique presents.

To add to the festive cheer, live music performances will be held from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. On Wednesday and Thursday, Steve Walton will entertain guests with classic hits from the 70s and 80s, accompanied by his guitar. On Friday, Jay Dunn will take to the stage, performing a mix of Indie style and Christmas music.
On Saturday morning at 10.30am, there will be a special ‘Breakfast with Santa’ event. General Manager Damien Brierley shared that over 100 people are expected to attend this festive morning, which includes a children’s breakfast and a gift for each child. The cost is £15.00 per child, and the market stalls will be open from 12noon to 5pm on Saturday and places for the Breakfast with Santa must be booked via the Derby Arms website.
The pub’s regular menu will be available, alongside special hand-prepared dishes at the market. These will include stuffed Yorkshire puddings filled with a variety of meats and vegetables, bratwurst German sausage hotdogs, burgers, and mozzarella sticks. All food will be freshly cooked by head chef Martyn Ainsworth and his team. To help visitors stay warm, mulled wine and gin will be served under heated canopies.
