From singers and dancers to gymnasts and musicians, children at a Newcastle school put on a dazzling display of talent in a special end-of-term show.
Pupils of all ages at Sacred Heart Catholic Primary took to the stage for the Christmas Talent Show, which made a much-anticipated return after several years – with a few staff members also stepping into the spotlight.

“Anyone could enter,” explained Barbara Brown, Headteacher at the school, which is a member of the Bishop Bewick Catholic Education Trust.
“The event was for children and staff from Reception to Year 6.
“Auditions were held in classes the day before. The final was in the school hall, and there were two acts from each class.”

The favourite was decided by the volume of cheering from the audience, with the winner receiving a Sacred Heart Reindeer from Mrs Brown.
“We hadn’t had a talent show for a few years, so this was the first one in a while,” added Mrs Brown.
“We brought this event back to give the children a chance to shine, and recognise how brilliant they are, as well as simply having some fun as a school community together.”
