Jemma Lloyd, head of Vincents’ Penwortham branch, said the staff are excited to be taking part.

She said: “We have such a brilliant team here at Vincents, so many people said they wanted to do something meaningful for Christmas, and loads put forward Cash for Kids. It’s a no brainer isn’t it?

“Christmas is all about children, and about giving, and this allows us to make our own contribution to help youngsters living in poverty have something special for the big day.”

Sophie Mercer, head of the Poulton office, said: “We hate to think of any child going without at Christmas, so our team is trying to get as many gifts for teenagers as possible.

“We know they are hard to buy for but they deserve just as much Christmas magic as anyone else.

“We’ve already received donations and have had lots of clients and people in the local community promise to drop gifts off.

“I’m really looking forward to handing them over to the charity, knowing we’ve played a small part in spreading some Christmas cheer this year.”
