Wait times of two hours and camping chairs in the queue – inside the opening of Wingstop Preston

Wingstop held its opening today ahead and invited over 200 people to the new Fishergate shop.

Located in the centre of Preston, the new store invited Preston community to try the their chicken ahead of the Christmas period.

With the first couple of customers queuing from 6am on 22 December, the first 100 customers received free meals.

The opening day menu offered Wingstop’s usual full menu of chicken tenders, wings and burgers.

The queue held a wait time of on average two hours with a few customers sitting outside in camping chairs.

Once inside, DJ was provided music for opening day customers.

Around 15 staff members were on shift ensuring the high demand of orders were met on the opening day.

Chris Sherriff, chief executive at Wingstop UKI, said: “We’re thrilled to open Wingstop in Lancashire, right in the heart of Preston.

The expansion was a part of Wingstop’s growth plans, with this store being the highest Northern site in England.
