Acclaimed writer, theatre maker, and comedian Amy Mason is bringing her “delightfully deadpan” brand of stand-up to Chorley.
The show is part of her Behold! tour, and follows what happened when Amy got hacked – losing her number, bank account and social media access – before the hackers started sending her gifts.
Behold! is described as a silly yet razor-witted examination of digital dependency, friendship, community, and the perils of using your dead cat’s name as your password for literally everything.

Amy’s debut stand-up hour, Free Mason, reflected on coming out in your 30s, rinsing homophobes, and forming a coven with your kids. She visits Chorley after a successful stint with Behold! at Edinburgh Fringe last year.
Reaching over 20 million views on TikTok, Amy lives up to her personal but totally universal demeanour, engaging audiences with charmingly poignant, funny and boundary-pushing storytelling.
Called a “genius” by Dawn O’Porter, you might have heard Amy on BBC Radio 1, BBC Radio 4’s The News Quiz, Huw Stephens’ Roundtable on BBC 6 Music and Hypothetical with Josh Widdicombe and James Acaster on Dave.
Amy was shortlisted for BBC New Act of the Year 2022 and featured in the Guardian’s Top 10 Funniest Jokes of Edinburgh Fringe 2024. She also has multiple TV shows in development with production companies including Clerkenwell and BBC Studios.
Behold! – directed by comedy icon Jessica Fostekew – is on at Chorley Theatre on Friday 3 April.
