Preston is set for foggy conditions overnight on Thursday into Friday.

Motorists are being warned of disruption as a blanket of fog rolls int across the city and across a large swathe of Lancashire too.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Fog patches will become more widespread and dense in places during Thursday evening with visibility falling below 100 m in places. Fog will thin and lift into low cloud late in the night or early on Friday morning.”

The fog may cause slower journey times for buses and trains as well as delays or cancellations to flights depending on the severity of the fog.

If you’re out and about early on Friday morning and snap any pictures in the fog, feel free to send them to contactus@blogpreston.co.uk as John did below a couple of weeks back
