A Fulwood dad has raised a total of £3,001 for local charity, Rosemere Cancer Foundation.
Despite undergoing his treatment in September, Simon Wright took on a fundraiser two months later to raise funds for the charity.
Diagnosed with colon cancer in August, Simon’s cancer had already spread to his liver and part of his lung.

He took on the Movember challenge and grew a moustache for a month in support of the charity.
He said: “I did this when I was coming up to the £3,000 mark just to get me over that threshold. Thank you to all our family, friends, and work colleagues for their support.
“I am keeping my moustache although I’m not sure for how long, as I’m starting a new chemotherapy treatment after Christmas, which I have been told will probably mean I’ll lose my hair.”
He continued: “I’m an optimistic person though, and know the treatment is the best way to control my cancer to keep me around for the longest time.”
The dad-of-one now stands at £3,210 fundraised for the local cancer charity.
