A key rural cut-through route between Preston and Longridge has been closed due to emergency water main repairs.
United Utilities have engineers on site in Haighton Green Lane.
The route is between D’urton Lane in Fulwood and Whittingham Lane at Grimsargh – however motorists can still access the Brabiner Lane turn and Haighton Manor pub from the Grimsargh side.

The water provider sent crews to the scene during Thursday (22 January) afternoon after reports of a water leak.
No customer supplies are affected due to the location and type of the water main.
A United Utilities spokesperson said: “We are carrying out repairs to a water main. To enable repairs to be carried out safely, it has been necessary to temporarily close the road and introduce a diversion route. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes.”
The roadworks are currently listed to last until Tuesday (27 January).
