Man, 38, arrested after early morning crash in Preston

A man has been arrested after an early morning crash in Preston left a road closed.

Emergency services were called to Walker Lane at 4.38am on Monday morning (12 January) to reports of a collision.

There were minor injuries sustained in the crash but Walker Lane was closed by Lancashire Constabulary from Hoylake Close to Boys Lane while the road was cleared.

Police said they expected the road to be closed for a short amount of time as a result.

A 38-year-old man from Preston has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving, driving while unfit through drink or drugs, failing to stop, and perverting the course of justice.
