The multi-million-rand tax fraud trial of alleged underworld figure, Nafiz Modack, has been postponed to May the 29th for a continuation of pre-trial hearing in the Western Cape High Court.
Modack and eight others, including his mother, brother Yaseen and bookkeeper, Faried van der Schyff, are accused of defrauding SARS of R46 million.
Modack and Van der Schyff are currently in custody following convictions in other matters.
The rest of the accused are out on bail.
An outcome on the application that Modack and Van Der Schyff have made for access to an electronic reader to prepare for the tax trial is expected on March the 13th.
Modack is expected to appear in the same court later today in relation to over 100 charges including the killing of top-cop, Charl Kinnear.
