A new curry restaurant has opened the doors in the centre of the city.
Abaseen, branding itself as the ‘King of Karahi and Grill’, has taken on the former Kapas dessert unit under the Premier Inn.
Facing onto Ringway in Fleet Street the Afghan cuisine restaurant officially opened to the public on Friday 23 January.

The restaurant is promising ‘bold flavours’ and is a Halal curry house.
A statement on the restaurant’s website says: “Step into a place where Afghan culture, culinary heritage, and vibrant flavours come together.
“At Abaseen, every dish is crafted with passion and reverence, using the finest ingredients to honour the traditions we cherish.
“Whether you’re joining us for a cherished meal or a special celebration, we promise a dining experience that nourishes body and soul—a true taste of Afghanistan.”
A free chapli kebab is being offered for the first 100 people to book a table.
The restaurant is open 9am to 11pm Sundays to Thursdays and from 9am to 11.55pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
Kapasa’s closed in July last year having opened in 2017.
