A set of five industrial ‘starter units’ could be built at Claughton-on-Brock, Garstang, if plans are approved.
In a planning application lodged with Wyre Council, Blackpool-based Alan Jones Chartered Surveyors has put forward the proposals which relate to a derelict piece of land off Brockholes Way, close to Brockholes livestock market.
It states: “This statement is prepared in support of a planning application to erect 5No. industrial starter units with associated car-parking on a vacant brownfield site.

“The proposed building is 450 square metres and will be subdivided into five smaller units with individual access. The building will complete the development of the east side of Brockholes Way in terms of employment opportunities.”
Claughton-on-Brock Parish Council has raised no concerns relating to the proposed plans and the building would fit into what is a busy commercial area just off the A6 south of Garstang.
