Preston Masonic group raise symbolic amount of money for local and national charities

Members of Ribble Lodge No 4558 from Preston Masonic group have celebrated the anniversary of their lodge’s consecration.

By making donations to a mix of local and national charities, including Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

Rosemere, along with other charities including St Catherine’s Hospice, each received £455.80, symbolic of their lodge number.

Hannah Leahy, fundraising assistant for Rosemere Cancer Foundation received the donation from Worshipful Master Mark Dunn, Charity Steward, David Hamer and Membership Officer Simon Wright.

She said: “Thank you to all members of Ribble Lodge No 4558 for choosing to include Rosemere Cancer Foundation as one of its centenary charities.

“We are very grateful. Congratulations to lodge members on reaching such a fantastic milestone.”

The money raised was shared equally among the 10 charities, and it was raised during their 100 year celebrations last year.
