The Preston branch of the chain bar Revolution will close with immediate effect, it has emerged.
The Revel Collective, who own the chain, said on Monday (25 January) that it would appoint administrators and since confirmed the appointment of FTI Consulting.
An immediate sale of a number of assets for The Revel Collective was confirmed with a number of sites across the country saved – along with the relevant jobs.

But the site at Fishergate is Church Street is not one of those and is instead of of 14 Revolution sites, six Revolucion de Cuba and one Preach site which will close – impacting a total of 591 employees.
A statement from FTI Consulting reads: “Immediately on appointment, the Administrators completed two sale transactions for the business and assets of the Group: (i) a sale of Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Founders & Co to Neos Holdco Limited and certain of its subsidiaries, trading as Neos Hospitality and (ii) a sale of Peach pubs to Coral Pub Company Acquisition Limited, founded by Ted Kennedy.
“The transactions secure the continuation of 20 Revolution, Revolucion de Cuba and Founders & Co bars and 21 Peach pubs and protect 1,582 jobs across the sites and central support function.
“”Regrettably 14 Revolution, six Revolucion de Cuba and one Peach site did not form part of the transaction and those sites are being closed with immediate effect impacting 591 employees.”
The purchase of the Revolution sites by NEOS Hospitality is noteworthy to Preston as the company charts its history back to the Luminar group which previously operated both Evoque (formerly Lava, Tokyo Jo’s) and Squires in Preston.
NEOS Hospitality now instead operates the brands Barbara’s Bier Haus, Bonnie Rogues and Circuit.
Revolution Preston only opened in Fishergate, in the former Wall Street and Fishers, in June 2022 having initially been based at Main Sprit Weind before closing in May 2020 during the coronavirus pandemic.
