Four colleagues are gearing up for a 34 mile challenge for St Catherine’s Hospice next month.
The team including Craig Hummer, James Da Costa, Matthew Kilbane and Alison Evans who all work at St Catherine’s Hospice will be running and visiting every charity shop along Adlington to Longridge to raise funds.
Craig said: “We’re so proud to work for a charity that does so much for local people, and we like to show our support in any way we can.
“Visiting every shop along the route felt like a great way to involve the community, as St Catherine’s wouldn’t exist without their support. It’s going to be tough but having the support from the shops and the community will help to make the miles drift by.”

The challenge kicks off at the Adlington store at 8.30am and finishes at the Longridge store at 5.30pm, with stops at every shop along the way.
Lynn Kelly, chief executive at St Catherine’s Hospice, said: “We’re so grateful to Craig, James, Matt, and Alison for taking on this incredible challenge.
“Their dedication will help us continue providing vital care and support to more people in 2026. We wish them the very best of luck and hope the community gets behind them on the day.”
Supporters are being encouraged to cheer on the runners on the 17 January.
