Step aside, calculators, there’s a new maths whizz in town, and he’s just 7 years old.

Meet Jevindu Senyuth Dissanayake from Newcastle upon Tyne, whose lightning‑fast number skills have left viewers amazed in his brand‑new video.

Forget adults struggling with supermarket change, this little genius casually blasts through five complex calculations IN HIS HEAD… and does it with a smile!

Jevindu, a proud student of British Youth International College (BYITC), is already on level 8 of his Abacus course and steps into his video with the confidence of a pro and the charm of a superstar.

“Hello, my name is Jevindu. I’m 7 years old and I love Abacus,” he begins, before casually announcing that he’ll pass Level 8 in just a couple of weeks. And if the video is anything to go by, no one doubts him for a second.

He explains how the ancient tool has turned him into a maths powerhouse: it boosts his concentration, sharpens his attention, and lets him see numbers and calculations in his mind like glowing constellations. Then he says the words that every viewer soon realises are not an exaggeration:

“You’ll be surprised how fast you can do your calculations when you learn abacus. You don’t trust me? Wait, I’ll show you.”

And oh, he shows us.

With barely a pause, tiny superstar Jevindu fires through five tricky sums that would make most grown-ups reach for their phones:

• 518 + 155 + 142 – 623 = 192
• 316 × 3 = 948
• 2249 × 5 = 11,245
• 744 ÷ 8 = 93
• 813 ÷ 3 = 271

No pencil. No paper. No calculator. Just pure, sharp, abacus-trained brainpower.

He dreams of becoming an astronaut and opening an art gallery in space, and judging by this video, he’s already halfway to the stars.

Dr. Rashmi Mantri, Founder of BYITC, the leading educational institution which teaches critical thinking skills online to youngsters, praised Jevindu’s incredible display:

“Jevindu is a shining example of what’s possible with hard work and commitment.

“Children can achieve extraordinary things – especially when learning is delivered in a fun, engaging way like our SuperMaths programme for learning the abacus. We are so proud of him.”

At the end of his video, Jevindu flashes a grin and extends a warm invitation to all future maths stars:

“Why don’t you come and join abacus? It’s great fun!”

One thing is certain: The world, and maybe one day the galaxy, will be hearing a lot more from Jevindu.
