A social group dedicated to providing a safe, welcoming space for people with Autism, ADHD, and disabilities is relaunching.
Autism Connect – previously a highly successful initiative at Disability Equality North West – is returning and will now be based at The Harris.
The group will meet every other Monday from 10.30am to 12.30pm, starting tomorrow (12 January).
Autism Connect is spearheaded by Emma Watkis, who brings lived experience to the role as someone with Autism and ADHD herself, as well as being a parent to a daughter with the same neurodivergent profile.
Emma is relaunching the group purely on a voluntary basis to ensure there is a local hub where people can meet, chat, and build lasting friendships.

To help make the sessions as engaging as possible, the group is seeking donations of board games and Lego, tea, coffee, and refreshments, and sensory items and colouring supplies.
