Three males flee car after leading police on chase through Leyland

A man has been arrested after a police chase in Leyland ended with three males fleeing the vehicle.

Police reported that they responded to an incident in Leyland when a vehicle sped off upon seeing them approach.

The driver of the vehicle took it the wrong way around a roundabout before parking up and three males fled the scene.

Two were immediately detained, however police were looking for the driver of the vehicle.

He was tracked down by checking the address linked with the vehicle and later admitted to drinking before driving.

He then tested positive for alcohol, cannabis and cocaine and was therefore arrested on suspicion of drink-driving, drug-driving, driving while unfit through drink and/or drugs and driving without due care and attention.

He was taken into custody. The incident was reported by police on 4 January.
