Trump to appoint additional members to Gaza Peace Board

More member are expected to be appointed to US President Donald Trump‘s Board of Peace for Gaza. The White House has already named the founding members, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, US special envoy Steve Witkoff, advisor Jared Kushner and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

In a statement, the White House has confirmed that Trump will chair the board.

The announcement comes after the formation of a National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NGAC), which the White House framed as a vital step in implementing phase two of the Gaza Peace Plan.

US Deputy National Security Robert Gabriel is also named alongside World Bank President Ajay Banga, former UN Middle East Peace Coordinator Nicholay Mladenov was named as the High Representative for Gaza as an on the ground link between the Board for the Peace and the NGAC.

Trump also named US Major General Jasper Jeffers to command the International Stabilization Force for Gaza.
