Rosemere Cancer Foundation’s Walk in the Dark is set to turn 18 at this year’s event.
The walk is set to take place on Saturday 25 April and is to raise money for Rosemere, who have their centre at Royal Preston Hospital.
The 11-mile route will go from Chorley and South Ribble Hospital to Royal Preston Hospital.

Fundraising manager Sue Swire, who leads the Rosemere team, said: “We’re really hoping Walk in the Dark’s milestone birthday will help us keep up the momentum of the last couple of years when we’ve had well over 500 walkers turn out and with Gift Aid, have raised more than £60,000 from the night.
“This is a huge amount for a charity like Rosemere Cancer Foundation, and we can do so much good with it.
“Over the years, we’ve worked really hard to keep improving Walk in the Dark as an event and I would say to anyone who walked back in its early years, dust off your boots, dig out your neon, and re-join us this year to see how it’s changed. I can promise you a good night out!”
Costing £15 per person, there is free parking at the Royal Preston Hospital for all walkers and a free shuttle bus service to take them to Walk in the Dark’s start.
The event is also sponsored by Eric Wright Group Limited, who will help meet staging costs.
