A fine-dining restaurant in Preston has secured its place as one of the best in the UK.
Aven, on Camden Place off Winckley Square, ranks at number 75 in Square Meal’s Top 100 Restaurants for 2026, a rise on 79 in 2025.
The list sits separate to the top 100 restaurants for London and is topped by Bristol restaurant Wilson’s. The highest ranked restaurant in Lancashire is the three-star Moor Hall Restaurant with Rooms in Aughton.

Aven, which is recommended by the Michelin Guide, is operated by chef director Oli Martin, co-owner Alex Blamire, executive chef Sean Wrest and restaurant manager Sam Haigh.
It’s fine-dining take on the butter pie has been a consistent favourite with diners since it opened.
Alex Blamire, co-owner at Aven, said: “To start our third year open by moving up in a national Top 100 list is pretty special. It’s mad to look back at how far Aven has come in such a short time. The support we get from diners, whether they’re local or travelling in has been unreal.
“Massive thanks go to Sean, Sam and the whole team. Their hard work, consistency and passion are what make this possible. We’re really proud of everyone involved.”
