Four men have been charged after an incident in the Lea area of Preston.
Officers from Lancashire Constabulary saw four men running with poles towards Ainsdale Drive at 11.47am on Friday (January 30).
The four men were arrested on suspicion of affray and more weapons were then recovered from nearby.

Police then became aware of an incident of criminal damage on Hendon Place. The incidents are being treated as linked.
Daniel Herd, 30, of Lansdown Hill; Scott Simpson, 29, of Exeter Place; John Abela, 41, of no fixed address; and Kieran Ayre , 26, of Burnslack Road have all been charged with criminal damage and possession of an offensive weapon.
They will all appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court at a later date.
A spokesperson for police said: “We do not tolerate instances of violence in any form and will continue to have officers proactively patrolling in the coming days and weeks. If you have any concerns or information that they should know, please stop them for a chat.
“If you have any information about the incident in Hendon Place – or footage – please call 101 and quote log 479 of 30th January 2026.”
