Members of a local parish have donated a total of £1972.40 to Rosemere Cancer Foundation.

The congregation of Fulwood’s St Anthony of Padua RC Church raised funds through coffee mornings, raffles and social events such as a Knit and Natter group.

Half of the funds were received by the local charity, Rosemere, while the other half went towards an international charity called Smile Train who funds surgeries for babies and children born with a cleft lip.

The funds will contribute towards the cancer treatments given to patients around Lancashire and South Cumbria, with Royal Preston Hospital as one of their units.
