Preston’s newest Greggs store officially opened on Friday (27 February) at a retail park close to the city centre.
The newest spot for the bakery chain is located at Queens Shopping Park next to the A59 Stanley Street and marks the end of an eight-year process from outline panning permission initially being granted in 2018.
When the final plans were approved in January 2023, there were no objections despite it being on what was previously green space.

It is located next door to the Costa drive-thru on the site.
The store is open from 7am until 7pm every day.
Gillian Long, Retail Operations Director for Greggs, said: “Our new shop in Preston has brought 15 new jobs to the local area, as well as providing customers with a modern, convenient new place to experience their Greggs favourites.”
