Delays are building on the M61 northbound near Rivington Services.
Emergency services have been called to a crash on the stretch between Junction 6 (Horwich) and Junction 8 (Chorley).
The crash took place shortly before 10pm on Friday (6 February).

There are delays of at least ten minutes on the approach and growing more severe according to AA traffic.
