A man was battered in the street with a baseball bat and slashed with a machete in Clayton Brook.
South Ribble Police have arrested a 19-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of wounding following the attack which took place on Saturday afternoon.
Two men, armed with a machete and a baseball bat, set upon a man in his 30s in Seven Acres off Great Green Lane.

The victim had slash wounds and a fracture to his hands and has been treated in hospital.
Police say his wounds are not life-threatening after the attack at around 4.45pm on Saturday 7 February.
A police spokesperson said: “An investigation is ongoing and we have arrested a 19-year-old man from Preston on suspicion of wounding. He has been bailed pending further enquiries.
“Our enquiries are ongoing and we would urge anyone who saw what happened, has any CCTV, mobile or ring doorbell footage, or who has any other information to come forward and speak to us.”
A second man remains at large. Blog Preston has asked police for whether there is any description of him.
