Preston author and illustrator set to launch new poetry collection with special event

Preston-based author and illustrator Kerri Cunningham is set to host a special event to celebrate her new poetry collection.

Kerri, who is known as Murphy’s Sketches on social media, has built a devoted global following through her heartfelt poetry and sketches. Her words have resonated with thousands of mothers around the world, offering comfort, solidarity and celebration of everyday family life.

Titled All of My Days, Kerri’s new collection brings together many of her most loved poems alongside new work, reflecting on motherhood in all its stages – for new mums, those watching their children grow up too quickly, and for grandparents and empty nesters alike.

Described as thoughtful and relatable, the collection honours the small, ordinary moments that shape family life.

Kerri, who studied Fine Art at the University of Lancashire, works full-time as an artist and writer, creating and selling prints and cards. She recently launched her parenting podcast, A Moment With Murphy, which combines her poetry with heartfelt conversations in her signature warm and reflective style.

The launch event for All of My Days will take place on Sunday 1 March from 1.30pm to 2pm at Chew’s Yard in Market Street West.

Kerri will read from and discuss the inspiration behind the collection. After the talk, copies of the book will be available to purchase from Waterstones, with a chance for attendees to have their books signed by Kerri.
