Emergency services remain at the scene of a two-car crash which has shut a busy route between Preston and the Fylde.
Lancashire Police say they were called to the junction of Preston New Road and Blackpool Road at 6.27pm on Tuesday (24 February).
Two cars were involved in a crash and one person has been taken to hospital, a spokesperson told Blog Preston.

Recovery of the vehicles is still taking place so Preston New Road where it meets the A583 remains closed at this time.
