A Preston music store dating back to the 1970s has moved to a new state-of-the-art showroom.
Family-run Rimmers Music is now based at the Ribbleton Lane Trading Estate in Crook Street.
A total of £1.5million has been spent on the new look store which specialises in acoustic and digital pianos with brands such as Yamaha, Roland and Kawai.

Managing director of Rimmers Music, Gary Tate, said: “We moved the flagship as we wanted the ability to have our warehouse and store in the same location while remaining in the heart of Lancashire. We have been in the area since 1978, so the city of Preston is very close to our hearts.
“We’re proud to welcome visitors to our new flagship showroom, which continues to serve musicians across the North West with the very best instruments and expertise.
“Our other showrooms in Bolton, Edinburgh, and Chester are already recognised for their piano expertise, and over the years we’ve proudly become known as the piano people. This new space marks another exciting chapter in Rimmers’ history as one of the oldest and largest musical instrument retailers in the UK.”

Rimmers Preston employs six people who together have more than 150 years of experience in total.
An official store opening takes place on Saturday 7 March and Sunday 8 March.
