With signs outside announcing its opening, the Sainsbury’s store will include an Argos collection counter, coffee to go, a bakery and chilled beer and wine.

The car park located around the back has a maximum stay of 45 minutes.

The supermarket chain has 820 stores, which classes as ‘Local Stores’.

Nearby residents have criticised the way development at the site has been handled since preparatory works began for converting the building to a mini supermarket – with repeated calls for planning investigations into potential breaches of planning rules and damage to nearby gardens and fencing.
