Screen spotlight: What’s on in Preston cinemas 20 to 26 February

There are a number of new releases arriving in Preston theatres this week, including Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die starring Sam Rockwell.

The action comedy from director Gore Verbinski follows a rogue AI and a team of ragtag heroes who come together to save the world.

The Secret Agent stars Wagner Moura of Narcos fame in a Portuguese period drama with political thrills and action throughout.

Cold Storage is a dark comedy horror starring Joe Keery, with Liam Neeson and Georgina Campbell coming along for the wild ride as they fight a fungus that is quickly threatening to take over the world.

The Moment is a mockumentary-style film from A24 about a rising pop star played by Charlie XCX, as she navigates the complicated world of fame.

Wasteman is a prison drama starring David Jonsson and Tom Blyth. When two inmates get into a larger conflict, difficult choices need to be made that could have lasting consequences.

Scream 7 sees many of the original cast from the first film return for this tense slasher horror. Sydney Prescott left her hometown long ago to escape her past, but when a new Ghostface appears in the community where she built a life and family, she must fight back to avoid losing everything she has gained.

Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline

Lupin the Third is a popular anime series based on the manga books of the same name. Due to its popularity, the franchise has also released several films, with this serving as the thirteenth and last in the series. It also serves as a prequel to the first film, The Mystery of Mamo, which was released in 1978.

Ralph Fiennes’ The Choral returns this week for the Odeon’s Silver Screen offering. The film is a period drama set around the time of World War I, and depicts a man who inspires young man who face uncertainty due to the ongoing conscription.

Helen Mirren stars in The Audience as Queen Elizabeth II. The play depicts the weekly meetings between the Queen and the Prime Ministers of the country, which occurred throughout her reign, as she offers advice on a variety of issues. This play served as the inspiration for The Crown, and is now set to appear in cinemas for the first time since its original debut in 2013.

Twenty One Pilots: More Than We Ever Imagined
