University of Lancashire invite businesses to find apprentices in new matchmaking event

A free University of Lancashire event is set to invite businesses to recruit apprentices.

Preston’s university is set to host an upcoming free matchmaking event for both businesses and potential apprentices.

The SPARK: Apprenticeship Marketplace event will take place on Thursday 23 April and offer one-to-one speed pitching sessions.

With a chance to meet apprentices face-to-face, after the pitches, businesses may offer a work placement trial leading to a degree apprenticeship.

Martin Blunt, head of enterprise and engagement at the university, said: “SPARK is a fantastic opportunity for employers to uncover emerging talent and invest in their future workforce.

“By bringing ambitious apprentices and businesses together, the event supports skills development, business growth and innovation across industries.

“With nearly 200 enthusiastic apprentices expected to attend, employers really can take their pick of the talent on offer.”
