Woman left with serious injuries after crash that required police cordon

A woman was left with serious injuries after a crash in Preston which resulted in roads being cordoned off.

Emergency services were called to Deepdale Road at around 9pm on Thursday evening (12 February) to reports a crash between a Volkswagen Golf and a pedestrian.

The pedestrian, a woman in her 30s, was left with serious but not life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash.

A cordon was installed at Deepdale Road and Meadow Street while officers from Lancashire Constabulary investigated the incident.

The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made.
