A popular artisan bakery in Eccleston has marked its first anniversary by announcing ambitious growth plans.
Outpost, an Australian-inspired bakery located on The Green in the heart of Eccleston, is planning a £70,000 investment in its premises, production facilities and team.
The investment, which gets underway this month, will transform both the front and back of the bakery, enhancing the customer experience while increasing production capacity.

Heading up the project is Katrina Bozikovic, Outpost’s head baker and co-owner, and central to the plans is moving all bread-making to a purpose-built back bakery, which will free up space to focus on pastries and the team’s wider baking repertoire.
Outside, the front seating area will be given a complete makeover, with new planting and furniture for customers to enjoy. And in the warmer months, the team is even planning to introduce Australian-style steak sandwich grills and soft serve ice cream.
To support the expansion, Outpost is currently recruiting experienced bakers to join the team.
Co-owners Felix Stenhouse and Katrina Bozikovic said: “Reaching our first anniversary feels like a real moment to reflect and to look forward.
“Our artisanal bakery remains the heart of everything we do. Craft, patience and respect for ingredients are our foundation and this investment is about giving our team the space and tools to do what they do best, while creating something really special for our customers and community.”
