Chorley and South Ribble Hospital staff have welcomed a new breast self-examination model.
Funded by Rosemere Cancer Foundation, the £561.36 model replaced an older version and will be used for staff and patient education.
It shows natural casting of three different female breasts, with two displaying benign and malignant tumours in different stages of development.

Lucy Worthington is the unit’s lead clinical nurse specialist and applied to Rosemere Cancer Foundation for the funding.
She said: “The model is helpful to train and practice breast examination for the benefit of teaching breast awareness at community events and for current patient and staff education.”
