Donald Trump Says Iran Conflict Could Last ‘Four Weeks Or Less’

Donald Trump has suggested that the ongoing conflict with Iran could continue for up to four weeks, according to an interview published by the Daily Mail on Sunday.

“It’s always been a four-week process. We figured it will be four weeks or so. It’s always been about a four-week process — as strong as it is, it’s a big country, it’ll take four weeks — or less,” the newspaper quoted Trump as saying.

The remarks come as military operations between the United States and Iran intensify, with mounting casualties and regional instability.

Trump also indicated he remained open to further negotiations with Iranian officials, though he did not specify when such talks might occur.

“I don’t know,” he said when asked whether discussions would take place soon. “They want to talk, but I said you should have talked last week, not this week.”

The comments reflect a dual-track approach from Washington — continuing military pressure while leaving the door open for potential diplomatic engagement — even as the conflict shows few immediate signs of de-escalation.
