A concern for welfare incident that closed the M55 in both directions was safely resolved.
Emergency services were called to the M55 close to junction 1 for Preston at 8.45pm on Thursday (5 March) to what National Highways: North West described as a ‘police-led incident’.
This was a concern for welfare incident and traffic was stopped in both directions while emergency services attended the scene.

The incident was safely resolved by 9.45pm after some delay to travel.
It happened close to the Broughton roundabout.
