The Old Oak in Longridge is set to close its doors for a month as work begins on a £350,000 upgrade,
Closed from Monday, 23 March, the pub will reopen towards the end of April in time for the first May Bank Holiday weekend.
As we reported last week, the pub will now be under the guidance of new licensee Pete Jackson, who also runs The Rishton Arms near Blackburn, and new manager Emily Jebson.

Owned by Heineken-controlled Star Pubs, the investment in the Old Oak will see it become a family and dog-friendly local with food becoming a major feature, the new owners have said.
The layout of the pub will include an open plan bar with seating on the left-hand side, with a timber clad darts oche and electronic scorer also becoming a feature and a new dining area on the right-hand side.
In the dining lounge area, there will be new bi-fold doors opening onto a terrace, while outside newly painted grey render and railings will seek to refresh the appearance of the Preston Road pub.
Pete, who comes from Blackburn, said the Old Oak will screen live sports on Sky and TNT and host a regular quizzes, live music and entertainment.
He added: “Both myself and Emily are looking forward to meeting customers old and new and hearing what they want from their local. Prior to taking on this new position Emily was manager at The Rishton Arms, where she’s done a great job. You’ll see us both quite a bit so please introduce yourselves.”
