Man forces way into Winckley Square home and steals mobile phone

An investigation is underway after a robbery at Winckley Square in Preston.

Lancashire Constabulary were called to Winckley Square at 10.41pm on Thursday (12 March) to reports that a man had forced his way into a home.

The man forced his way in after the householder answered the door and stole a mobile phone.

Crime Scene Investigation were at the scene on Friday (13 March).

A spokesperson for Lancashire Constabulary said: “We were called at 10.41pm yesterday to an address in Winckley Square, Preston, to a report of robbery.

“It was reported that a man had forced his way into the address after the householder answered the door, and stole a mobile phone.

“Enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with information, please contact 101 – quoting log 1353 of 12th March.#2
