Ribble Valley councillors have approved plans to open a new micropub in Longridge.

Longridge-based Lynette Hitchen, who runs the company The Ginger Still, applied to turn 91 Berry Lane into a ‘drinking establishment’ and the plans have now been greenlit.

The building was previously home to a dress agency but has been empty for some time.

The building itself sits a few doors down from the popular Applejacks Microbar, which has flourished in recent years.

Blog Preston recently reported how two other Longridge pubs were the centre of attention, with The Old Oak, Preston Road, undergoing a £350,000 transformation under news licensees, while Tap and Vent, Berry Lane, is up for sale after 10 successful years of pulling pints.
