Two Preston venues have been shortlisted for the 25th anniversary Skiddle Awards.
The Continental and The Ferret could be in-line for silverware as the ticket outlet and events guide looks to celebrate the most memorable moments of the past 25 years.
The Continental has been chosen by Skiddle as one of four candidates to win Memories of the Future. This award celebrates grassroots venues where tomorrow’s big names first stepped into the spotlight. The Broadgate venue is up against Jacaranda in Liverpool, Hare & Hounds in Birmingham, and The Black Prince in Northampton.
The Ferret is one of five shortlisted for Venue That You Remember the Most, which recognises the pubs, halls, and hidden gems that live forever in the memory. Competition comes from Old Fire Station in Carlisle, McChuills in Glasgow, Camp and Furnace in Liverpool, and Unit Nine in Milton Keynes.

A spokesperson for Skiddle said: “For the last 25 years, Skiddle has been at the heart of gig culture, helping revellers get closer access to their favourite acts up and down the country.
“The platform has sold over 10 million tickets in the last year and has become the go-to place to buy tickets and get information about events taking place up and down the country.
“Now, as the platform turns 25, we’re celebrating the industry’s best moments over the last 25 years with our glittering 25th anniversary awards.”
The awards ceremony will take place on Thursday 30 April at Blackpool Tower, when event industry insiders and the public will find out who has been crowned for delivering the most memorable moments of the last 25 years. A total of 76 finalists are now being called upon to drum up votes to win one of 16 awards up for grabs on the night.
