More than 200 people packed into the Barton Manor Hotel for the first ever Proud Preston Awards.
The city got dressed to impress as the winners were crowned in front of civic, charity and business dignitaries from across Preston.
With performances from Preston’s My Stage Company who wowed the room with an eye-catching dance display before Thea Barr’s melodic tones brought rapturous applause.
Presenting duo John Gillmore and Neetal Parekh guided the room through the awards and a chaotic raffle – with a double win for a joyous Molly from the Global Ardour table amid controversial ticket number scenes.

Funds were raised on the night to go towards helping the city’s Vault Youth Zone.
And, as the Mayor of Preston councillor Sue Whittam said, “everyone who is in this room, finalists or not, is a winner in my eyes.”
